Ignition Focus

Each Ignition Retreat has certain overarching principles that are Scriptural and seek to attract God’s presense. Ignition is about a body of believers on campus seeking Him together for transformation. The principles laced throughout the retreat both through our messages, and worship are the DNA of an Ignition Retreat.

The Outpouring of the Spirirt

We need breakthrough in our lives and ministry. We must look to a manifestation of Christ’s charater to us through an outpouring of His Holy Spirit.

Brokenness

We don’t want to rely on ourselves but on God. It is difficult to move away from self sufficiency, and sometimes we need God to break us from this.

Authenticity

The power of sin is in its secrecy. Living authenticly means living a life that is not full of pretense, but appropriatly exposes what is really going on in ones life so that true community can be formed.

Living Water

Jesus describes the life giving power of the water he desires to flow through believers. Many times impediments arise in our hearts to block the flow and leave our spiritual lives dry and parched.

Repentance

“Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand” were some of Jesus’ first words to ignaugurate his ministry. We must look to Holy Spirit to do heart surgery on us, so that we can turn and become more like Jesus.

Prayer

No major move of God’s Spirit has occurred without first God moving on His people to pray.

Worship/Awe

One surefire way to attract God’s presence is to develop an attitude of worship and reverense for Christ.

Collegiate Impact
