New Haven Call
About the New Haven Call
The New Haven Call is a document being used by campus ministers, faculty, students, and Christians in general to mobilize campus communities for another Great Awakening on our college campuses.
This document was written by participants of the first Institute of Campus Revival and Awakening held at Yale University, June 21-28, 2006.
The background image of the New Haven Call is Harkness Tower, the central icon of Yale University today. Why was this image chosen for the New Haven Call? In summary, many of the Ivy League schools were founded on Christian principles with an expressed Christian mission. Yale University was the epicenter of the campus aspect of America’s Second Great Awakening and is an inspiration for what many desire to see God do again in our day.
